Today we played at a friend's house. We had so much fun!
We swam, jumped in the bounce house, played on the play set and ate ice cream. We even caught a frog!!!!

Spooning Stones

Great news!!! I am re-organizing my entire classroom. It has been hard to maintain order with my little destructo bot son because he rips the place apart daily. So I have a new plan and hopefully we can get back on track and do more classroom activities.

Today Princess worked on spooning some stones from her Zen garden into a dish. The spoon was small so she really had to concentrate:

Boredom Buster

The days can be looooong around here, especially when it is so hot outside! Nothing two bucks at the dollar store can't fix. We had a silly string party and spent half an hour playing with it. Now I just need to figure  what to do with the other 23.5 hours in the day:

Son tried to get me:

Playing nicely together:

When they started to eat it...the fun was over!!!!

Speaking of busting, yesterday Princess pulled this pipe to the aquaponics tank and water was shooting EVERYWHERE! Good thing I am a superhero (ha!) because I was able to put it back together and save 246 tilapia...WHOOOHOOO!

Bird Seed Wreaths

We wanted to make some great gifts for all the pretty birds in our yard, so we decided to make bird seed wreaths.

They are made of gelatin, bird seed, nuts, and cranberries. Gelatin is NOT my friend, well not since Princess sprayed a full packet of it ALL OVER MY COUCH last week. It was everywhere and STICKY....

Funny  I mentioned mess making because at this very moment there are Lucky Charms and Dog food are ALL OVER MY KITCHEN FLOOR!!!!!! They were spilled simultaneously by two different very tiny people about 10 minutes ago....I had to step away before I had a break down.

Anyway,

Here's our set up:

Wearing the bowl:

Mixing:

Pouring and mess making:

Ok, so they didn't exactly stick together like they were supposed to. This could be because Princess did everything out of order and spilled half of the ingredients. We added peanut butter to help them stick and let them harden overnight in the fridge.

We hung one and put the other two on top of the bird feeder:

And look who showed up to eat it!!!!! Jerk. I can't stand this garbage terrorizing fool!

A Day at the Pool

I have been terrified to take these babies to the pool!!!! I guess I wasn't sure how I would manage both and I'm thankful Sister went with me because she helped a lot. I put her in charge of chasing one while I swam with the other. Princess wore arm floats in the big pool and was swimming around like she was the boss of the place!

Painting Magnets

It was raining yesterday and we were BORED, so we decided to paint some magnets. They look like good Christmas gifts to me...so if you are reading this and you happen to be my Dad (hint hint), don't be surprised if you get one of these in your Christmas package.

St. Augustine Children's Art Festival

We are so lucky to live in a fun city. Today we got to go to the children's art festival. There are so many festivals here and always a million fun things to do.

We started out with two very tired babies, but they got a bit better as we walked around.
Boss WAS going to be doing yard work, but as soon as he heard that Curious George was going to be there, he changed his plans. He loves to watch George with the babies when he gets the chance....sorry Princess was in a cranky mood when she got to meet him:

Son and I made a chalk fish. He gets into his work!

Learning to Use Glue

Fine Motor Skills

Son worked on pushing bamboo sticks in a spice container today. He was surprisingly good at this. Good thing I saved it from when Princess used to do this. Of course when she saw him working on it, she was interested in this activity again.

Right before we did this activity, Son wrote all over himself and half the classroom with a marker. Sigh:

World Landmarks

Today we matched landmark replicas with picture cards. I'm not going to lie, I didn't know the names of all of these....but now I do!
The replicas are so cute. They come from safari ltd. I wish we had all of their toobs, but so far we only have the landmark sets.
This was lots of fun!
